The president of Romania too, Traian Basescu, will attend, on Sunday 7th September in Rome, the Divine Liturgy that will be celebrated in via Ardeatina 1741, a few kilometres from the sanctuary of the Divine Love for the blessing of the new headquarters of the Rumanian Orthodox Diocese of Italy. Father Ioan Lupastean, in charge of information, explains to SIR that "the Rumanian state acquired the big building" which will host the premises of the Rumanian Orthodox Diocese; the release - published today - also states that president Basescu will come to Italy for "his first official visit" to the Rumanian Orthodox devotees of Rome and its surroundings. The Liturgy will begin at 10 am and will be officiated by His Eminence Monsignor Iosif (Pop), Archbishop and Metropolitan Bishop of the Rumanian Orthodox Metropolitan Bishopric of Western and Southern Europe.
