Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew sent to the newly elected Mayor of Constantinople, Ekrem İmamoğlu, for his victory at Sunday’s elections on June 23, a warm congratulatory message on behalf of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Greek expats, wishing the new Mayor to proceed in his duty based on the principles of sincere dialogue with all society’s components, and with non-discrimination and respect for human and minority rights.
