Marzo 2018
| Dear friends, the day of the most important festivity is approaching in the calendar of Christian Churches, especially on Sunday, April 1, 2018 Holy Easter, in the liturgical calendar of the Catholic Church. Therefore, a unique day in which we commemorate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, the culmination of our history. Actually our Faith teaches us that right on the altar of the Mass (in front of which we are fortunate enough to be able to participate every day) in the Eucharistic reality the sacrifice of the Savior and His glorious Resurrection is renewed for us, therefore the presence in each of the faithful. It is perhaps no coincidence that in recent days, in view of the Holy Week that precedes Easter, there have been episodes of "nervousness" in Jerusalem that have affected the Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher. Fortunately, we could say a "miracle sui generis" (or even "heterogenesis of ends"), in fact, an event that we could define as secondary importance, saw the harmony of the various Christian denominations present there, but always with precarious balances and relationships not always fraternal. Yet another episode that calls to mind the well-known expression according to which the Lord is to write well on the twisted lines that we men claim to trace. https://www.ilcattolico.it/rassegna-stampa-cattolica/dal-mondo/riaperta-la-basilica-del-santo-sepolcro.html In our "poor world" - which seems increasingly forgotten by its Creator in so many personal, cultural, social and political manifestations - events continue to occur that it is natural for us to classify as manifestations of sin, starting from the "original" one of our progenitors to arrive today to those caused by mistakes, forgetfulness, negligence, malice, in short, many personal and "social" sins. Without forgetting the dominant anthropological thought whose ultimate goal is the utopian one of "erasing" reality by reducing every person (eager for Good and Infinite) to an individual object manipulated by the masters of consumerism and erasing the "intermediate" realities necessary for the human growth, as are the family, groups, associations, religions. Many ideological deformities and "near" and "daily" shortcomings of which each of us should have the heart and the conscience to remedy; maybe even with the thought of so many tragedies and wars in which we believe we have no responsibility or possibility to influence ... but in front of which we still have the (responsibility of) prayer, as requested by Jesus himself in the only prayer that has taught to address the Our Heavenly Father. http://www.orientecristiano.it/all-news/oriente-cristiano/14590-chiamiamo-le-cose-con-il-loro-nome-questo-e-l-inizio-della-pace-oriente-cristiano.html Specifically, there are important attitudes of fraternal understanding and friendship with our "neighbors" and in society, even to those who have their temperament and personal vocation - to some form of political commitment, not by chance always recommended in the Church and from the Popes of Rome, as the "highest form of charity": certainly from the Blessed (and next Holy Pope Paul VI) as repeated recently by Pope Francis. http://it.radiovaticana.va/news/2015/07/02/francesco_politica_sia_vissuta_come_forma_alta_di_carit%C3%A0/1155527 +++ We thank all the readers who follow us through our website dedicated to the whole of the Christian East, esteem and pray for us, ensuring our best efforts to be faithful to Christ, the Pope and the Church, paying attention to the events that they concern ecumenism, also through an effective presence on the web. Whoever wants, can support us with prayer and economically with completely free contributions (even the most modest will be welcome, as the offering of the poor widow of the Gospel ...) http://www.orientecristiano.it/sostienici.html Thank you! |
