Church and Media, dialogue between Catholics and Orthodox, between Christians and Muslims, projects of collaboration with the Church in Africa and in Latin America, and the works of European institutions. Those subjects are the core of the meeting of the presidents of the Bishops' Conferences of Europe (CCEE), taking place in Esztergom, Hungary, from 30 September to 3 October. In particular, they will discuss about the Church and media, and the results of the European survey promoted by CCEE at Bishops' Conferences will be shown on in this occasion. The survey is meant to define how media perceive the Church in Europe, how the ecclesial themes are dealt with by media, and which instruments the Bishops' Conferences acquired to fulfil their mission of Gospel communication, in a continuosly changing world. Moreover, works will also face the question of the service provided by CCEE to the Church in Europe, with the presentation of the activities of CCEE Commissions (Media; Migrations; Catechesis, school and university and vocations), without forgetting the theme of collaboration between CCEE and other continental bodies: SECAM (Symposium of Episcopal Conferences of Africa and Madagascar) and CELAM (Latin American Episcopal Council). The programme of the first Catholic-Orthodox Forum (Trento, Italy, 11-14 December 2008) and the election of the new secretary general of CCEE are also on the agenda.
