Lluís Maria de Puig, president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, is in the Russian city to attend a conference on the "globalisation of the migratory processes". During her speech to the MPs of the 12 countries of the Community of Independent States (CIS) that came to life after the end of the Soviet Union, de Puig explained that such Day would be "a clear sign of the common commitment to making" intercultural dialogue "one of Europe's political priorities".
